Vice President, Digital Traveler, American Express Global Business Travel
Evan Konwiser is vice president, digital traveler, American Express Global Business Travel (GBT). Since joining GBT in 2014, Konwiser is responsible for digital technology and the traveler experience, including mobile and online booking.
With deep experience in technology, innovation and emerging travel trends, Konwiser is a prolific industry blogger and speaker on consumer and business travel topics and is a regular contributor to Tnooz, a travel technology online publication.
Previously, Konwiser was co-founder and COO of Lark Travel Group, a luxury leisure travel agency startup. He also built two other digital travel products: Farely, which analyzes airline cost data for travel buyers, and FlightCaster, which predicts flight delays real-time and was acquired in 2010. As part of the FlightCaster acquisition, Konwiser ran the travel business for Next Jump, where he managed employee discount programs for Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to these roles, Konwiser spent several years consulting in the travel industry for TMCs, airlines, GDS and travel media companies, and is an advisor to travel startups Olset and Suiteness. In addition to his entrepreneurial work, he has also served as a consultant at Bain & Company, and spent time working at Kayak.
Konwiser holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and an MBA from Dartmouth College.
