Do you have what it takes?

During Battleground: EMEA, six companies have nine minutes each to demonstrate their innovations to a panel of sometimes ruthless and uncensored judges, and the cheers or jeers of a live audience. The event provides startups with an affordable and not-to-be-missed opportunity to connect with the travel industry's most influential audience.

In the end, only the most promising company wins the right to move on to compete in Phocuswright’s Summit: EMEA at Phocuswright Europe, where they will demonstrate on the main stage in front of the most discerning audience in travel.

Cost:  

Zero. There are no fees to apply or pitch at Battleground: EMEA.

CRITERIA:

To be eligible for Battleground: EMEA, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Startup company 48 months or younger (exceptions will be considered)

  • Based in Europe, Middle East or Africa (EMEA)

  • Company has not raised more than €2.5 million in funding

  • Must pass a thorough and rigorous Phocuswright screening

To be considered, a qualifying innovation must also:

  • Be oriented toward establishing B2B relationships with OTAs, tour operators, travel agencies and TMCs

  • Be a new travel product or service based on innovative technology

  • Significantly influence how travelers research, plan, purchase, organize, experience or share their trips

  • Impact the state-of-the-art in its target market

  • Change the dynamics of the marketplace

  • Implement new ideas and introduce new concepts that create value
